I have completed my second attempt at Tamara's Kismet Square. I still think it is an easy square and I love how complicated it looks. I like the color combination. I think I'll keep the color scheme throughout my afghan.
This time around I was more humble as I crocheted it. I have been crocheting on and off for 8 years. I think that over the years my skills have improved, but at the same time my pride has also grown over the years.
In my first attempt, I didn't count my stitches about halfway through the square. I thought that since I had the correct number of stitches at the beginning I didn't need to pay attention later in the pattern.
I have done this in a number of projects and they end up looking rather silly or misshapen. Most of these projects have ended up in the fire because they were that bad.
As I have continued to study other crochet websites, I have decided I'm not going to be selling anything on this site for now. I will continue to post pictures of my projects and other items I have made. It will be like a scrapbook of my progress.
If anyone would like me to make things for them, I would be happy to look at their pattern or request. I have quite a number of books and I can share some ideas with you.
